Each year, the International Center of Photography honors a select group of photographers for outstanding contribution to the field. Mishka Henner, this year’s Art Photography winner, calls himself an “appropriation” artist. Employing new technologies, Henner uses material from other sources and creates innovative new images that challenge our notions of ownership and raw material.
